Day's End

There's something relaxing about being by the water, even this little trout stream in Killingworth.  The setting sun behind me added a golden hue to the bank on the other side, and a little shimmer to the slow running water.

A windy night gives way to a chaotic morning sky.  It turned out to be a pretty nice day.

Same game, but different

Same game - chess in the park - but a whole different vibe. This time in Lausanne Switzerland on the shores of Lake Geneva. Kids playing in the fountains, skateboarders zipping across the walks and walls. Folks in a crowd all around, but each focused on their own game.

Checkmate

Sunday morning, Zurich Switzerland.  Onlookers watch, study, cheer, bet on the outcome, and hope that the match doesn't get in the way of breakfast in the cafe down the hill.  And the two gentlemen playing don't notice a bit of it.

November Morn'

With a little chill in the air, the normally busy park is quiet save for a squirrel and hiker or two.
